Every time i see something having to do with Twilight, without fail, i will skim over it. It's worse when it pops up in my Deviant Watch list, because i feel bad just ignoring something that someone took time to do & upload, & some of it's good, technically. I just don't see the appeal of a book where vampires sparkle & there is essentially nothing negative attached to being one of the undead. It's more like they've essentially become sparkly, bloodsucking Elves; there's very little going on there. Honestly, how is one supposed to take someone seriously when they sparkle?

So this is pretty much brilliant:

Finally, someone who isn't foaming at the mouth about how supposedly amazing it is!

To further cement my conviction to not read these books, someone in the Deviation cited a little excerpt: "So, I woke up at approximately 6:02am, and I put on my black Converse brand sneakers with the pink laces, my jeans with the tears in the knees and a black tank top, which I decided on instead of my pink kitty one. Then I went into the shower and used shampoo when I washed my hair, but not conditioner because I didn't have enough time..." Then went on to say, "It reads like terrible fan fiction."

Which i agree with. Trying too hard much, author? And apparently a Mary Sue, at that.

"Edward is gorgeous. I must see Edward. I'm thinking about Edward. I don't want to think about Edward. I can't help but think about Edward."

.....My god, that's when you need to get a life. And people like this more than, i don't know, LotR? Humanity is a lost cause even moreso now.

And no, i am not changing my mind, nor am i sorry for not wanting to touch it with a ten foot pole. I will stick to my angsty, realistic vampires & werewolves (the ones that do not sparkle under any circumstances), thank you very much.
