Needs a real title.

From this as a reference, but it doesn't have a likeness at all. Pf. And the scanner ruined the colors (again), & could not rectify them in Photoshop at all.

Heheh, yeah... kind of random, actually. ;;; I just felt like doing it out of nowhere, so i gessoed a page in my sketchbook & did that.

Ahh, so this is the one you were talking about, with the oil on paper problem! It came out very nice, though. There's a kind of soft, blurred quality to it, that coupled with the color scheme makes it seem like she's washing away.

Even though it doesn't look exactly like the reference, I like it a lot because it's in your own style. I prefer it in your style.

Great use of oil paints, the shading's come out really nice, especially in the hollows of her eyes.

Nice! The color's gets a little muddy - you could bring out a few more lights and a little bit of a true red - and the nose is a little large (though that might be intentional, idk) but you really captured the expression and I like the washy background.

I seem to have issues with keeping my colors from getting muddied. :\ And the nose; eurgh, yeah. I think i'm just going to leave it all as-is, though, because waiting for something in a sketchbook to dry is annoying.
