Devious Journal Entry

I like looking through other's Favorites far too much. I have this bad habit of going through their pages, neglecting my own Watch list, & faving a bit myself. My own Favorites is huge; i don't know how many pages. I wish there was a more convenient way to go through them, or at least a way to show how many pages there are. Granted, some people organize theirs, but i like to keep everything together. Besides, there's the "Browse" option.

I think it would be more worthwhile than all the other junk DA keeps doing. Like the "critique" thing for people with subscriptions? That's ridiculous. What happened to the varying comment degrees? Why not give a critique in the regular comments, like you should be doing anyway?

Another thing that bothers me is how they changed how you feature a work on your front page. It used to give you a drop-down menu, which was easy to use; now it opens up your gallery, which means that you have to remember the name of what you want to put up, or go rifling through your gallery, which is time-consuming, aggravating, & slow, especially for those of us with dial up. Actually, the entirity of trying to manage one's Profile page is slow for those of us with dial up, & just really aggravating. It was a million times easier to handle & execute before, when there was just a page that let you choose what you wanted for what.

In short, to be blunt: Stop putting in pointless bells & whistles, DeviantArt. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They have no value, no point. They are clunky & they slow things down considerably. I don't know what you're trying to do or prove by dumping on a lot of pointless frills, but i'm really honestly getting tired of them. Why can't things just be kept simple & the way they are if they already work?
